ANAM IN PARTNERSHIP WITH MUST   The Netball Association of Malawi (NAM), in partnership with Malawi University of Science and Technology , has today conducting a capacity-building training in Sports Sciences at Blantyre Sports Arena . The session has brought together coaches and technical officials from teams competing in the FDH Premiership Netball League , as well as participants from the One NICO Top 12 . The training has run up to 4:00 PM, as NAM continues to invest in strengthening technical expertise and advancing the development of netball in Malawi. DRAMA IN TRANSFER WINDOW

 THREE CLUBS PAYED FOR KAMBILINYA  Last Saturday, March 15, 2026 Mighty Wanderers announced the signing of centre back Alex Kambilinya from a relegated team Mighty Tigers . Kambilinya signed a three year deal with Nomads. His contract will end in 2029. Following his signing, a lot has been said on how the player found himself at Wanderers. Bought by Ekhaya FC , Money refunded to Silver Strikers only for him to join Mighty Wanderers FC. Ekhaya paid Mighty Tigers FC K36 million for two players namely Alex Kambilinya and Lucky Tizolah . Kambilinya was going at at K17 million and K19 million for Lucy Tizolah. Alex Kambilinya was not knowing that he had been sold to Ekhaya FC and he was against the move but it was difficult for that to be reversed.When the player realised that Silver Strikers was interested in his services, he asked Tigers that he wanted a move to Silver. FIFA REJECTS

  FIFA HAS REJECTED IRAN PETITION  FIFA has rejected Iran ’s request to play their World Cup games in Mexico , away from the United States where they were scheduled. Iran are in the same group with New Zealand , Belgium and Egypt.  They are due to play two fixtures in Los Angeles and one in Seattle. With the ongoing war against the US and Israel, President Trump has refused to guarantee safety for the Iranian players. Iran has made this decision inoder to protect its prayers from being injured or killed by the US against. The War between Iran and United States has increased tension in trade, religious, Diplomacy and Sports. JUNIOR SCORCHERS TO PREPARE FIFA WORLD CUP QUALIFIERS   Malawi Under-17 Girls National Team head coach, Chisomo Nkhoma , has named a 36-member squad for camp ahead of the FIFA U-17 Women’s World Cup qualifiers against Burundi . The Young Scorchers will host the first leg on 11 April 2026 at Bingu National Stadium in Lilongwe , before travelling to Burundi for the return leg a week later. The Junior Schochers has never qualified for U-17 Women's FIFA world cup. This time around, Football Association of Malawi is providing good support to Malawi's women's football than before. MPHASI ON FIRE

MPHASI SHOWS GOOD PERFORMANCE IN ZAMBIA  Flames attacker, Chifundo Mphasi , provided a brilliant assist before being stretched off due to a heavy challenge which produced a straight red card as Power Dynamos beat FC Muza 4-2 in the MTN Super League in Zambia on Thursday. Mphasi was introduced at half time when the defending champions led 2-1 but conceded four minutes into the second half before Mphasi's ball finding Moses Shumah for the his second of the day and fifth in just two matches in the 54th minute. In the 63rd minutes, he received a bad tackle from Chanda Chileshe who was sent off and Mphasi's place was taken up by Titus Chansa as he failed to continue. The win for the leaders helped them to restore a five point lead on top the table as they have 51 points from 15 wins, 6 draws and two defeats with a game in hand as well. NOMADS SIGNS NAHIPA

CRECK GIVES NOMADS DALITSO  Mighty Wanderers has announced the acquisition of the services of Creck Sporting Club left back, Dalitso Nahipa . Nahipa has signed a three year contract with the Nomads . He is going to save Nomads Up 2029. This is a good signing for the Nomads. In this transfer window, they needed a left back, two center backs and a creative attacking midfielder This comes as a way of preparing fulfilment of gaps that will be occured when their key players like Stanley Sanud will get retired. On the other hand, the club is bringing new players so that they competition inside the club as they are preparing for this year's CAF champions . IRAN WITHDRAW FIFA WORLD CUP

IRAN WITHDRAWS FIFA WORLD CUP   Iran 's sports minister Ahmad Donyamali says their men's national team won't play at the 2026 World Cup in the US due to the ongoing conflict. FIFA might need to find a replacement country if Iran refuses to participate. The US, Canada, and Mexico are hosting the tournament, and Iran was set to play in the US. This is the following of the War tension that is happening currently between United States of America and Iran. The War has started early this year because of death of Iranian supreme leader Ayatollah Ali Khamenei . There is fear that many sporting activities can be affected in Iran due to this War. THE BANKERS SIGNS NEW PLAYER

KASONGO SIGNS FOR SILVER STRIKERS  Silver Strikers has announced the signing of forward, Mally Kasongo , who joins the team from Chitipa United . Kasongo has penned a three year deal with the Bankers.His contract will run from this year up to 2029. He becomes the third signing for the Bankers after roping in goalkeeper Christopher Mikuwa and defender Lumbani Nyondo . Silver strikers is in progress of replacing gas of players like Binwell Katinji who have leaved silver strikers for green pasture and game time. CHAWINGA TO WIN THE LEAGUE

CHAWINGA HELPS TO HER TEAM TO WIN LEAGUE TITTLE BEFORE IT ENDS  Scorchers captain, Tabitha Chawinga , scored a brace to inspire OL Lyoness to a 3-0 win win over Le Havre W to win the Arkema Premiere Ligue phase with five games to spare. Chawinga made a brilliant finish with a powerful left footed shot after beating a defender in the 26th minute before sending a header into the net in the first minute of added time to double the lead. She was then taken off in the 62nd minute then the Champions went on to grab their third goal and secure the win. The game marked her 50th match for the team after joining them two years ago from Jiangsu Huangda of China permanently. Lyon have 49 points from 17 games having claimed 16 wins and one draw in the League. They hold a 19 points gap ahead of second placed Nantes and will play in the League's Championship playoffs .   CHITOLILO WOMEN FC TO PLAY IN ELITE LEAGUE OF NBM .  Chitoliro Heroines have secured the promotion into the NBM Womens Premiership after beating Ndirande Giants 1-0 at the Mpira Stadium on Sunday. Judith Kambwemba scored in the 87th minute to secure the big as they win the Southern Region FAM Women's League . The team has managed to collect 33 points from 10 wins, three draws and one defeat in the League. Many football lovers a expecting good competition among the teams who are in National Bank of Malawi womens Premiership.  NBM Premiership is one of the weapons that are shaping Malawi's women football , following the vision of Football Association of Malawi . KATINJI STARTS WITH A GOAL AT CHICKEN INN FC Malawian striker Bin­well Kat­inji made a dream start to life in the Castle Lager Premier Soc­cer League (PSL) after scor­ing in Chicken Inn ’s 1-1 stale­mate with Her­ent­als Col­lege FC at Rufaro Sta­dium on Sat­urday. Just weeks after join­ing the club from Malawi ’s Sil­ver Strikers , Kat­inji was thrown straight into the fray by coach Ton­de­rai Ndiraya , who is chas­ing his third title on the bounce hav­ing won it with Simba Bhora and Scot­land . Kat­inji did not dis­ap­point his new employ­ers with a solid per­form­ance capped with a goal.  As of now over ten Malawian based players are playing in Zimbabwe's elite league and most of them are performing well. NKHOMA SCORES IN TP MAZEMBE WIN   Flames winger, Lanjesi Nkhoma , was on target as TP Mazembe beat Lubumbashi Sports 2-0 in the Illicocash Ligue 1 in DRC on Sunday. The forward was handed a start in the game and found the back of the net in the 57th minute before being withdrawn a minute later. Meanwhile, Patrick Mwaungulu was also a starter and withdrawn together with Nkhoma in the game. FOUR GIRLS SHARED GOLDEN BOOT

HENRY, KHUMALO WIN COSAFA JOINT GOLDEN BOOT Scorchers duo, Deborah Henry and Ireen Khumalo , have finished as the joint top scorers along other two players after netting three goals each at this year's COSAFA Women's Championship . Henry netted a hat-trick in her first start for the team in an 8-1 win over Lesotho , the game which Khumalo bagged a brace and got his third after netting a winner in a 1-0 win over Angola. Meanwhile, the golden boot has been shared amongst four players as Makhotso Moalosi of Lesotho and Rutendo Makore of Zimbabwe have also three goals each. Namibia claimed the Championship on Sunday after beating South Africa 2-1 after extra time while Zambia beat Zimbabwe 3-1 to finish third. Malawi managed to win once in the tournament in 2023. STAND UP FOR THE CHAMPIONS

NAMIBIA ARE THE CHAMPIONS OF COSAFA WOMENS TOURNAMENT  Namibia are the champions of the COSAFA Women's Championship after beating South Africa 2-1 after extra time on Sunday in the final. The Brave Gladiators came from a goal behind to force the game to extra time where they bagged the winner to secure the big win. Nthabiseng Majiya had put South Africa ahead in the first half but Muhinatjo Hanavi levelled before half time for Namibia before Memory Ngonda netting the winner in the extra time. Meanwhile, Zambia have finished third in the tournament after beating Zimbabwe 3-1 thanks Agness Phiri 's brace and Mercy Chipasula 's lone strike while Rutendo Makore got a consolation goal.
